Tomato Butchering Time
I've been busy. This is habanero salsa and there's more in the freezer because I ran out of clean jars. The tomatoes, onions, sweet peppers, and cilantro are all from the garden. I also canned about 8 pints of diced black tomatoes. Dylan brought some tomatoes to the office to share and I think we can eat the remainder before the next wave hits. In preparation for the fall crops I am working my way through our plots weeding and putting down fresh layers of newspaper and wood chips. I'm about 75% done, but the last bit really looks like a jungle.
The craft-store tulle and coat hanger enclosure is working pretty well to keep the critters away from my green bean seedlings but some frustrated rabbit left me a present
