Summer Lunch

Today for lunch I roasted up a handful of little Padron peppers on my cast iron skillet.  According to recipes on the internet, these roasted peppers are a common appetizer in Spain and I managed to get some good color without setting off the smoke detector.

The peppers are generally mild but 1 in 10 can be really hot. In this batch we each got a hot one but the tomatoes, goat cheese, and summer sausage helped ease the burning.
