Plot Envy

The water was turned on today and it was very exciting to use the hose rather than drag in a collection of nalgene bottles and tupperware containers full of water.  Afterwards I took some time to check out what my neighbors were growing.  This gorgeous bunch of chives is growing right next door.   

The strawberries are all in bloom.  If I had more space I'd definitely start a patch.

I hadn't even thought about planting bulbs.

Another neighbor has asparagus.  I've read that it takes a few years for the plants to get big enough to get a harvest so it is really a commitment.

Here's a fantastic picture of one of my spinach seedings and that poor red cabbage. Yes, that shrunken little yellow thing was spinach.

I've still got a lot to learn.
