Plants in the Ground
Over the weekend Dylan helped me spread two more wheelbarrow loads of compost and finished up a nice wood chip path along the outside of the plot.
I planted seedlings and my neighbors gave me some free broccoli and red cabbage seedlings because they bought too many. Not organic or heirloom but I love free things and found a spot for them. I didn't have space for all of the broccoli so I passed the remainder on to another neighbor. Below are my tiny Red Romaine, Oregon Sugar Pod Snap Pea, and Corn Salad.
Here is my awesome gardening outfit - a longsleeved cotton shirt and the biggest hat I could find. Now I just need to get some super sunblock for my hands.
