New Plot

Big changes are afoot - I've opted to trade my plot at the community garden.  Old Plot, though beloved, was right at the edge of the woods, mostly shady, and year after year was the first in the garden to contract late blight.  Old Plot was also one of the last plots to thaw each year. The new plot is close to the front - less distance to drag things, and less shady.  I haven't measured it yet but estimate that new plot is 30 X 30, so a bit bigger than old plot (25 x25).  Dylan is excited to help me upgrade the fence and build more raised bed frames.  We've also got to move my collection of stakes, cages, hoses, and of course, the "Fannin Cattle Co " gate sign. Last year I planted peas and favas on April 7th and that seemed horribly late, but this season will be an even later start.

New Plot

It is still too frosty and muddy to do much outdoor gardening, but I've got lots of tiny plants going in the basement.  Seedlings are also sprouting in milk jugs on the porch.  I just finished upgrading the Skippy's Garden Sowing App to include fall and winter sowing and we've sold over 100 copies!  You can look at screen shots here
