The irises have started to bloom.  Many are mystery plants I got at swaps so it has been fun to see what the blooms look like.  I think the one above may be "Skytower". Below, is the iris I've seen all over the neighborhood - it is an old heirloom iris, probably called "Honorabile". More irises on the way this week.


Above: The armeria (sea thrift) that I started from seeds last year has finally bloomed.  I remember this flower from the Irish coast where Dylan and I honeymooned.  It would be faster to buy all my plants but starting from seed is very satisfying and of course, cheaper. Below: Cerastium (Snow in Summer) loves a sunny dry spot.
