Today Dylan and I went into the city - He needed to drop off his bike for a tune-up and it was the sort of weather that makes even Baltimore look beautiful.
Afterwards we headed to Federal Hill for lunch and a nice walk in the park overlooking the harbor. Union troops occupied the area during the Civil War to ensure that the citizens of Baltimore remained loyal.
The inner harbor is a strange mix of new condos and old industrial buildings. The Port of Baltimore however is very busy and one of only two ports on the eastern seaboard large enough to handle the new extra large container ships. Amazing the things I learn from NPR . . . .
